Sandra Sherrod Obituary
Sandra graduated from Chula Vista High School in Imperial Beach, California where she came to love the ocean. She moved to Mishawaka and that is where she met her husband of 60 years, Rodney Sherrod. Sandra earned her LPN nursing degree from Ivy Tech and her RN from Memorial Hospital School of nursing. She worked in several different medical facilities located in Three Rivers, Centreville, MI and the South Bend, Mishawaka area.
Sandra loved her family and her large stuffed dog Cubby. She will greatly missed by all that knew her.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Erin (Randy) Arnett of Constantine; MI, and Kim Sherrod of South Bend. Her grandchildren, Chad (Becky) Hetmansperger, Michael (Bridget) Sherrod, Molessia (Joe) Reiff and Eddie (Nychelle) Cox, along with 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rodney Sherrod, daughter, Lora Hetmansperger; son, Shane Sherrod; and grandson, Ronald Arnett.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022, at First Brethren Church, 4909 Ironwood Road, South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be offered in Sandra's honor to the First Brethren Church, General Fund, 4909 Ironwood Road, South Bend, IN 46614.
