Ida Kerkow Obituary
HARLINGEN/
RAYMONDVILLE, TX. -Ida Mae Kerkow, 71, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2008 at her home in Harlingen, TX.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, 11:30 A.M., October 25 th at Duddlesten Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Richard MacDonald officiating.
Ida Mae, was a volunteer paramedic in Willacy County for many years and charter member of Port Mansfield E.M.S.
She is survived by her loving husband, Edd Kerkow of Harlingen; two sons, Gregory Thomas Cox of Harlingen and Paul Wayne Cox of Duncan OK; one brother, Keneth Harris of Duncan, OK; three sisters, Nita Sue Richardson, Brenda Johnson and Dorothy Switzer both of Waurika, OK.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to RGV Loaves and Fishes.

We will miss her as she was my favorite nurse and friend. I was very lucky to have met you and she in Oklahoma City many years ago. I is her turn to rest in peace.

Ed, I'm so sorry to learn of your loss. I think of ya'll often. Ida was such a caring nurse and animal lover she even delivered a puppy for me, and then there was the time we made an "animal ambulance" run from Port Mansfield to Harlingen. Good Memories of you both. Take care and keep in touch. JB
