To the family, many, many friends, and fans of Mr. Sandy Alomar Sr., fine comfort with you during this difficult time in your lives. Mr. Sandy Alomar Sr., was the swift, sure-handed infielder who became a respected coach and the patriarch of one of baseball's great families. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together with Mr. Sandy Alomar Sr. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of Mr. Sandy Alomar Sr. We will never forget that he was a wonderful baseball player in this great game, what a tremendous goal and accomplishment.

Sandy Sr and I have been friends since 1961, he was 16 at the time, we were teammates on the Quad-Cities Braves, Davenport, Iowa. Our Mgr Al Monchak asked me to help him get to and from the ballpark, we both had rooms at the YMCA. Been friends ever since. He was one great individual and respected by everyone that came in contact with him! Rest in peace "Iron Horse!"

My sincere condolences to the Alomar family and all who knew and admired Sandy Alomar Sr. His contributions to baseball, both as a player and coach, and his legacy as a family man will be remembered with great respect. Wishing comfort and peace to his loved ones during this time.

Sorry to see him go. I loved him. I have been a Yankee's fan since I was 10. Now I'm 69.
