NEWNAN - Mrs. Sara Partridge Abercrombie, 77, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at her daughter's home in Newnan after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born September 15, 1936 in Thomaston, Georgia to German and Cleone Partridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robin Royce Abercrombie.
Surviving are her children, Tina Washington (Mike) of Columbia, Tenn., Robin Camp (Joe), Marsha Horne ( Scott), Roy Abercrombie (Kelly). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Casey Washington (Jenn), David Washington, Maggie Horne, Walker Jackson Horne, Katie Abercrombie Cook (Curtis), William Camp, and Royce Camp (Rachel).
After raising her children, Sara began to work in retail. Sara arrived in Newnan in the 1970's as manager of the Diana Shop. She was a natural at retail and her wide open personality made her excellent for the job. If a young lady was looking for a dress or a man looking to surprise his wife, she could pick out the perfect outfit. She was known by a lot of customers as "Ms Diana." Sara started her next career in Newnan in the 1980's as owner of the Credit Bureau of Newnan and worked there for over30 years, retiring at the age of 74. She took great pride in being one the very few women business owners in Newnan. This job also allowed her to do what she enjoyed most - to help people.
The family expresses their sincere thanks to Dr Steven Cook and staff and Gentiva Hospice for their excellent caregiving.

Though it has been years since I have seen Aunt Sara, she was a favorite. I know I will see her again one glorious day, when I die or our Savior returns. My prayers are with all of you she left behind, but take comfort in knowing she is in no pain, and is brand new. Love you all. Billy
