Sara brought the light of her faith to so many. She shared her peaceful and happy ways freely with all. We will miss her, but, will think often of her and of her daughters and family.

Sara Hunter is a beloved mother and was an awesome friend. I went to school with her daughter, Anne, but I first met her before my husband & I were married in 1969. She was a welcoming, gentle soul. She would sometimes watch our two children when her youngest daughter, Elizabeth, was about their age. She would do crafts with them, something they love to do to this day and the term "snippets" became part of their vocabulary for those tiny bits of paper left when small hands use scissors. :-)
After she and her husband, Rev. Richard Hunter, retired and moved to Clifton Park, NY, we were often invited to come for a visit and enjoy dinner at their home, where, now more than just our Pastor's wife, she became a confidant and loving friend. She always seemed to find the good in people.
After she moved to Boston, to be nearer her dear daughters, Anne, Becky & Elizabeth, we corresponded by letters which helped to negate the miles between us. She was always so very proud of her girls and granddaughter, Alice! Her letters were filled with accolades to their accomplishments, travels and adventures. The world has lost a precious gem, but Heaven has gained a new angel! She will be sorely missed.

Reverend and Mrs. Hunter served the Congregational Christian Church when I was growing up. Mrs. Hunter always supported both the church and her husband's ministry. My wife and I visited them before they moved to Boston several times and maintained a good friendship with them. We enjoyed keeping in touch with Mrs. Hunter throughout the years. Although it is sad with her passing, we can at least take comfort that she is again with her husband and the Lord that she served so well. Condolences to the family left behind - take comfort in the fact that her race was well run and that she is home with her Lord.
