Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 18, 2023.
Brunswick, Ohio - Sara Zielinski, age 43, passed away on December 5, 2023, in Strongsville, Ohio at Thomas P. Perciak Family Residential Hospice. She was born on August 13, 1980, in Bedford, Ohio. Sara was an intelligent, kind, and fun-loving woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She displayed immense bravery and courage throughout her battle against aggressive cancer, which tragically claimed her life.

Sara is survived by her beloved sons Emry and Avry Thames, her parents Michael and Iris Zielinski, her sister Nikki Zielinski, and her brother-in-law Thomas Watson. She cherished her role as a devoted mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend.

Sara attended Franklin High School in Franklin, Massachusetts, and went on to pursue higher education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Isenberg School of Management, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Management. Sara later graduated with a MBA in Business Analytics with Honors from Baldwin Wallace University while working full-time and being a dedicated mother.

For the past 14 years, Sara had been a dedicated employee of Stanley Black and Decker, where she held the position of Quality Business Analyst. Her determination and commitment to her career were truly admirable.

In her free time, Sara enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. She loved reading, playing online and other games with her sons. Sara kept Emry and Avry busy with many fun activities including museum visits, sports, hiking, swimming and more.

Friends and family are invited to bid farewell to Sara on December 28, 2023, between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm at Yurch Funeral Home, located at 5618 Broadview Rd, Parma, OH. There will be no formal service held.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sara's memory can be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Camp Kesem, or Little Pink Houses of Hope.

From our teenage years to now, Sara continued to be one of the most unique, intelligent, funny and beautiful people I have ever and will ever meet. I learned of her passing tonight and I am heartbroken. I feel the incredible loss for her family, friends and the world. Hearing Santeria will always make me think of my beautiful friend Sara and I will look forward to hearing that song forever . I love you my friend.

Sara I will always cherish the memories of playing softball and field hockey with you. We were so lucky to be able to enjoy many good times and grow up with a great bunch of girls! I'll always remember helping you dye your hair and it turning out smokin white! You had a beautiful smile and presence and you will be missed. We hadn't spoken since we suffered the loss of another dear friend ... give Katie a hug for me. Love you

Never met Sara but I know her parents & for most of my life her mom has been a friend of mine all through school. Hoping the beautiful memories they have of her will help them get through this terrible time. RIP Sara.

My first memory of Sara was at MTD. She was so kind and so very helpful. She was a lunch buddy. I will really miss her.
