On Monday, December 27, 2010. Wife of the late James Herbert Bane; beloved mother of James (Barbara) Bane, Sally (Bill) Bane-Swartz, Wendy and William Bane; sister of the late Elizabeth Langer, Howard and William Kelso; grandmother of Anthony P. (Janet) "Tony" Rinehart and J. Cortlynd Amanda "Mandy" Bane; great-grandmother of Julia Rinehart. Friends received Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 at the SZAFRANSKI- EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 101 Third St., Carnegie, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial in Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horn Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

Bill, may the peace which comes from the memories of love shared, comfort you now and in the days ahead. I know how close you were to your mother. Your mother always spoke about you with utmost love and affection. You meant the world to her. She was truly a splended woman and will be deeply missed. Take care of yourself.

Bill, the world just lost another beautiful person. Mumzy was loved by many. As children, we know that this day will come when we lose a parent, but even though we think we are prepared, we truly never are.
