Sarah Engle

Dear Marilyn and Family,
Your mother was a remarkable woman who lived a remarkable life. She was full of energy, ideas and had an insatiable appetite for living. I remember her getting on the phone, when she was well into her 80s, inviting everyone to come to Marilyn's piano concerts. We were all in awe of her. I was lucky enough to be invited and attend her 100th birthday celebration. Thank you for that. She was an inspiration, although to your family, she was so much more.

My deepest sympathy on the passing of your mother. I did not have the opportunity to meet her, but know that last year her health was frail. May you all find comfort in having her in your lives and wonderful memories.

Dear Marilyn, Monica, Rafe and Fred,

I've been priviledged to have met Grandma Sarah. I have learned so much from her, ranging from her culinary expertise to her advices on how to face life. I'm forever grateful. It has been a wonderful stay in her house as her caregiver. I was lucky to have worked for her.
I extend my deepest sympathy to you and everyone in the Engle family at this time of your loss. We will all miss her.

We are thinking of you at this time. Your dear mother was an inspiration to us all. She always had a smile to give and words of wisdom. She will be missed by all who knew her. Our prayers are with you.

Mrs. Engle was an incredibly giving, loving and insightful person. I can still her voice giving me her opinion on a variety of subjects. I learned many important lessons seated in her kitchen as I enjoyed her wonderful baking and cooking (I couldn’t get enough of the poppy seed cookies). She will be greatly missed. I offer my most sincere condolences to the Engle family during this difficult time.
