Sarah Hobbs Obituary
SILER CITY - Sarah "Babe" Whitt Hobbs, 76, of 4410 West Darden Road, Newton Grove, formerly of Siler City, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2006, at Mary Gran Nursing Home, Clinton.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, December 28, at First United Methodist Church, 1101 West Raleigh Street, Siler City, conducted by Rev. Mike Sykes. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Siler City.
Mrs. Hobbs was a native of Chatham County, a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Douglas D. Smith and Pemberton W. Hobbs; and daughter, Kathryn "Kathy" D. Smith.
Survivors are her step-daughter, Sara Hobbs Graham and husband, Frank of Newton Grove; step-son, Graham D. Hobbs and wife, Nancy of Charlotte; step-grandchildren, Pemberton M. Hobbs of Charlotte, Myra E. Graham of Newton Grove, J. David Hobbs of Myrtle Beach, S.C., John T. Graham of Newton Grove, Pete W. Graham of Newton Grove; step-great-grandson, Tyler W. Fox of Newton Grove; and sister-in- law, Frances Whitt of Snow Camp.
Visitation will be from 2 until 3 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, 1101 West Raleigh Street, Siler City.
