Sarah Rose Jacobson

Sarah Rose Jacobson (Lewis), 91, of Cape May, NJ, formerly of Reading, PA, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Ocean View, NJ. She was the loving wife to Irving Jacobson for 67 years before his passing on March 29, 2019. Born in Reading, Sarah was the daughter of the late, Harry Lewis, and Helen (Valentine). Sarah was a graduate of Reading High School, class of 1949 and went on to work as an administrative professional for Reading Clothing Co. as well as Rose Tree Media School District and Springfield School District. Sarah enjoyed clamshell pitching with her club and won many trophies throughout her life. She enjoyed jazz and was always involved in the Annual Cape May Jazz Festival and traveled to many other jazz festivals including New Orleans. Sarah was also an advocate for the Animal Humane Society throughout her life, and loved going to Wildwood for walks on the boardwalk to get her favorite, curly fries.

Sarah is survived by her daughter, Jackie J. Longnecker, wife of Parke, of Exton, and her granddaughter, Jodie Alexis Grey, wife of Randy, of Cape May, and her two great grandchildren, Parker, and Bryce. She is also survived by her nephew, Jacques Jacobson, husband of Jenny and niece, Rachel Jacobson.

Funeral Service for Sarah was held privately at the convenience of the family.
