Sarah Joyce Nowak

March 24, 1921 - August 6, 2011 Sarah Joyce Nowak, (Nan) passed away peacefully on August 6th 2011. She will be remembered with love and laughter by her daughter Sharon; granddaughters, Heather and Laura-Beth; son, Philip; daughter-in-law, Tilly, along with extensive family and friends. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother; we feel honoured to have spent every day for the past 3 months by her bedside. Nan never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and the ever handsome, Judge Alex. The family wishes to thank all those who supported us before and during Joyce's time in the hospital. Even up until the end Joyce would ask doctors for a glass of wine. We will miss her passion for Chardonnay, enthusiasm for parties and her long rambling stories that usually involved Eaton's, "the war", the wilderness and goats. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Burnaby Hospital Foundation at 604-431-2881. A small private family service will be held at a later date.
