Liz (Barr) Fahy and I loved Sarah dearly. We spent many weekends and afternoons in the 80s and 90s (for years) with Sarah getting steamed milk, taking her to swimming class, the aquarium, the little museum by her house, feeding her cream cheese, and just enjoying her sweet nature and endearing ways of saying things. We were talking about Sarah and looked to see if we could find anything on the internet and were devastated to read of her passing so many years ago. Sarah is ageless in our minds. We loved reading the things that people wrote who shared our thoughts and feelings about Sarah. She was so lovely as were her grandmother and mother Sue. Liz and I treasure the time we spent with her and the Rosen Family.

To Sarah's Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Sarah's passing. I was a SPED teacher in SFUSD in the 80's and knew Sarah then. I am not at all surprised to see from these comments that she continued to touch so many lives with her bright smile and bubbly personality, just as she did mine.
My sincere condolences to you all,
Sandy Smiley

Sue and Steve,
I am so sad. I simply cannot imagine how you feel. Even though it was some years now, I still miss her sometimes, and think of her often. I am so lucky to have had Sarah in my life - she was an amazing person. I have quoted her often to my friends and family, especially when a situation needed a bit of levity. My favorite quote is "It's great to be here."

Oh Sue and Steve,
I just heard about Sarah's passing. I can imagine your family is devasted. Your daughter was such a vital spirit. Even though she has not been in WorkLink for years, I still think of her often. I will let her WorkLink family know. :-(
Here is my favorite picture of Sarah.

Her joyeous outlook and beautiful smile brought much to all those around her. It was a priviledge to be around her gentle soul.

I can't think of my daughter, Amy without thinking of you and your family, for our circumstances are strikingly similar. My daughter died on March 3,2012 at CPMC from ards. She was 36 years also. I was Amy's conservator and she resided in a residential treatment center. Amy left behind grieving parents and a sister and brother. We understand what your family is experiencing. My email address is [email protected], perhaps sharing our grief can make us stronger. Sincerely, Judy

Dear Sue, Steve and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I have kept Sarah alive in my heart and mind. She has impressed me a lot. I lived and worked with her in Camphill from August of 2005 to July of 2006. I most enjoyed working in the garden with her where she helped me out a lot. I will always remember her smile and her at times absolutely lovely sociable nature. May she rest in peace. She was/is loved by many.

Susan and Steve,
Sending warm thoughts to you at this time. Sarah was a wonderful girl and young teen. Hoping that she continued to enjoy swimming into adulthood.
My sympathies to you and your sons. May warm memories and the support of friends and family offer you comfort.

Sarah was one of the first children I worked with. My mom, Tina, got me involved volunteering with Sarah's class in the summer. I remember her too.
