SARITA B. FRITH

Sarita B. Frith (Nee Burton) of Gates Mills, Ohio died on November 27th, 2022. Sarita, the daughter of Courtney and Marguerite Burton was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 18th, 1934. After attending Hathaway Brown School, she graduated from The Madeira School and Bennett College. Sarita loved animals. She spent most of her life riding and showing horses, field trialing her Labradors and showing her silky terriers around the country and in Bermuda. Both her horses and dogs won numerous championships and trophies. She also enjoyed tennis, golf and needlepoint. Sarita was involved with several philanthropic organizations; additionally, her memberships included The 21st Century Club, The Garden Club of Cleveland, Folio and The Chagrin Valley Hunt Club. She was a past member of several Golf and Tennis clubs in Bermuda. Sarita resided in Gates Mills her entire life and in the later years, she and her late husband spent winters in Bermuda where he grew up. She is predeceased by her husband Norman L. H. Frith II and is survived by her sister Marguerite Humphrey (Bonnie), three daughters: Sarita Porter (Jonathan) Jane Haley and Laura Williams (Charlie), five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family prefers that those that wish make contributions in her name to The Oglebay Foundation, 455 Lodge Drive, Wheeling, West Virginia 26003. Family Services will be held at Lake View Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 17th at 12 pm at The Chagrin Valley Hunt Club, 7620 Old Mill Road in Gates Mills.
