On Monday, August 27, 2012 at North York General Hospital. Saul Glickman, beloved husband of Esther. Loving father and father- in-law of Connie and Hartley Zwingerman, Susan Glickman, Lorna D'Onofrio. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Sylvia Karrel, Lil Glickman, Jeanette Glickman, Dorothy Saltsman, and Albert and Dorothy Gellman. Devoted grandfather of Rhonda, Nora, Danielle and Natalie. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (3 lights west of Dufferin) for service on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Beth Tzedec Memorial Park. Shiva 14 Highview Crescent, Richmond Hill. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

I am studying to become a teacher. In 1971(?), I attended a summer school algebra course at Pasadena High in Pasadena. I believe Mr Glickman was the teacher. I couldn't forget his name because he was such a good teacher. He gave me an A+ but I had to work for it. For my degree I have to write a short math bio. I mentioned his name, of course, and decided to look him up on the web. My condolences. I am glad that I knew him and am thankful that he was one of the people in my life that helped me.

I am studying to become a teacher in Switzerland. I attended a summer school algebra course at Pasadena High School in California in 1971 (?). I believe that Mr. Glickman was the teacher. I couldn't forget his name because he was such a good teacher. He gave me an A+, but I had to earn it. Because I had to write something in the way of a mathematical biography for school, today I decided to look him up on the web. I assume that I have the right person. My condolences. I am thankful for having known him and for him having helped me. [email protected]

I was saddened to hear of Saul's passing. I remember him as a fine teacher at Woburn...he really cared for his students. He was so gentle but when needed could be so dogged and tough.
