I didn't know Saul very well or for very long. However, he had a profound and uplifting effect each and every moment I was fortunate enough to be in any proximity to his humor and compassion. His soft-spoken pronouncements, will no doubt, be contemplated often, but his spirit will be remembered always.

Saul was a dear friend and confident while he lived here in Princeton. His art was superb and reflected his spirit and joy for life. He will be missed and I appreciated every minute spent with him.

Dear Joanna, Katherine and Jonathan,
I am saddened to learn of Saul's passing. I only met him twice, first at his Manhattan home and then at his show at St. John the Divine Cathedral, I enjoyed knowing that such a talented man was my first cousin. Ironically, I was in Princeton a few weeks ago and stopped by the Record Exchange for the purpose of asking how Saul was doing. Unfortunately, Jon was on vacation that day so I never got to find out.
May Saul's memory be a Blessing and inspire all who knew him to do acts of loving kindness.
