I first met Savana at Ball High School. She was larger than life. I know her sisters Kaitlynn and Macie and Nana Rita. Savana was full of mischief and she wasn´t sure how to take me, a school police officer who loves her students and her sisters. I am so broken hearted to hear of her passing. Savana had so much to give and she was full of fire for life. I didn´t know Heather had passed either so it´s doubly sad. It´s so hard to see yet another one of my (school) babies gone & still so young. Rita, Kaitlynn, Macie, my love & prayers will always be with y´all. May our Heavenly Father comfort you & give you His perfect peace and strength. Hugs, Captain Julie (Idema) Freeman, GISD PD Retired.

My first memory of Savana was when she was in 8th grade. I was her English teacher. She was so bright and a beautiful person. I have a couple of memories of her that I cherish. I remember the last day of school; she was standing at her locker, and she turned to me and thanked me for helping her get through the year. I told her she did it all on her own. I also remember when I was voted to get a pie in the face with many other teachers. However, the person throwing the pie was not on the list. When she pied my face, I took it off and pied her back. Savana told me that I made her day by doing that. She had such a great time in 8th grade; she was lively and full of spirit. I think of her often and am disheartened that she has passed away. She was one of my bright spots that year.
