Sayed George Deeb

Sayed George Deeb 88, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2023 at his home in Hollywood, Fl.

Born May 25, 1934 in Blouza, Lebanon, Sayed was the son of George and Susan Deeb.

He is survived by his wife Jacqueline, married 64 years, his daughter Susan, son-in-law Juan and 3 other children Mela, George and Ray. His grandchildren (Ricky, Julie and 9 others), great-grandchildren, sisters Damia and Lila, and an extensive family of nephews, nieces and cousins all loved him for his kind heart and generosity.

He is also survived by his nephews Pierre (wife Theresa), Tony and Joseph (wife Nawal and son David) Dib whom he considered as his own sons. Their respect and appreciation was noteworthy in his eyes.

George had an optimistic outlook on life and loved to share that with everyone around him. He came from Lebanon at the age of 18 with nothing more than his clothes. He completed high school at Miami Jackson and graduated from the University of Miami while he worked several jobs to finance his education. His ambition did not stop there. His hard work and astute business decisions earned him success in life for not only his immediate family but for countless members of his extended family for generations to follow. Everyone who came in contact with him loved him. He was able to bring many family members from Blouza, and mentor them to success while continuing to support those who remained there. His nieces Theresa and Nawal, along with his younger sister Damia were always eager to cook his favorite Lebanese dishes which were much appreciated. He enjoyed spending Saturdays at the horse track with his daughter Susan. He loved to tell jokes, particularly dirty jokes, even to priests that he befriended. He often said that 'laughter is the best medicine.' We should all aspire to be half the man that he was. He loved to visit his family in Lebanon, where he was welcomed with open arms. His heart was made of gold. He was the patriarch and the rock of our family and he will be missed dearly. He will forever be in our hearts, and is a saint in heaven right next to God.
