The integrity, pride and compassion that ran through Scott's veins created a heart of gold. As the adored husband of Silvia and proud father of Alessia and Katia, Scott passed away on Sunday, May 28th at the age of 49 years.
Scott was born and raised in Edmonton and he graduated high school in 1985 receiving his Diploma in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology in 1987. Upon graduation, he returned to Edmonton to work for Warwood office supplies. In 1991 he ventured south to Calgary working for Lanier until 1999 then signing on with the City of Calgary as Traffic Signals Technician. In 1993 Scott met Silvia, the love of his life. They were married in April of 1995 and from this love story two beautiful girls were brought into this world. In November 1996, his blue- eyed belle, Alessia was born. Scott was tickled pink to welcome the first Allan girl into the family. Five and a half years later, Katia, the apple of his eye was born. An amazing husband and a truly remarkable father, he was a quiet, loving soul with a huge heart and a great sense of humor. Scott spent his time volunteering with the Calgary Round Up Band, STARS, The Knights of Columbus, Numerous Schools councils and was a 600+ blood donor with the Canadian Blood Services. He travelled to El Salvador three times to build houses for families in need. His time away from work was always with friends and family, either camping, off-roading in his jeep or playing his favorite sport, rugby. Scott was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Allan, in 1999 and is survived by his mother Diana, brothers, Brent (Paul Kidd) and Steven (Amy) Allan. He will also be missed by Silvia's parents, Luisa and Amleto D'Alfonso, sister-in-law Maria (Guido) Rizzuti and brother-in-law, Anthony (Nancy) D'Alfonso; his nieces and nephews, Hannah, Aidan, Emmett and Beckett Allan, Franco and Brianna Rizzuti and Arianna and Tristano D'Alfonso as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
