Scott Bradbury Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 19, 2025.
Scott Douglas Bradbury, passed away on March 12, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 60.

Born on July 9, 1964, Scott grew up in Boulder, Colorado with his parents, Bob and Bonnie, and his younger sister, Lisa. A standout athlete, he set the county high jump record while attending Fairview High School. He then competed as a member of the track and field team at Colorado State University before earning a business degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Early in his career, Scott worked for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation before transitioning to real estate, where he spent more than a decade as a commercial and residential real estate broker. Later, he found success in roofing sales.

Scott maintained a passion for both watching and playing sports throughout adulthood. A skilled golfer, he particularly enjoyed participating in long-drive competitions, recording a personal-best 384-yard drive in his forties.

Scott will be remembered for his unwavering positivity in the face of adversity and for his love for his sons, James and Thomas. He cherished coaching their sports teams, taking them to Rockies games, and celebrating their various milestones, including attending their recent weddings and talking about their careers in law and politics, respectively.

He is survived by his sons, James (Miranda) and Thomas (Clara), his mother, Bonnie, his sister, Lisa (Matson) Sparling, and his nieces, Sarah and Anna.

A memorial service will be held on April 3, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Grace Commons Church in Boulder, Colorado.

I recently learned of Scott's passing, and it deeply saddens me. As an insurance agent, I had complete trust in Scott as a roofing contractor. He was a humble individual who faced his struggles quietly. I regret not having the chance to say goodbye properly. I want his sons to understand that he was a remarkable man, and it was a privilege to work with and know him. His legacy will continue through his family.

Scott was a business associate (I'm an insurance agent), a roofing contractor that I used when my roof needing replacing, and a friend. Scott went home to Heaven much too early, and is now watching over his Family from there. I miss Scott. My prayers to Scott's family. God bless, Greg Lamb

Scott was my cousin. He was a solid, outstanding person. Though distance separated us in later life, I know we would have picked up right where we left off in our younger lives. We shared many holidays in the warm and loving Nix farmhouse in Eaton, Colorado where our families would gather and always gave us the best of examples that shaped us in very positive ways. Laura and I send our deepest sympathy from Ignacio to all family and friends.

Scott was a great father, son, brother, uncle and cousin. Our family will truly miss him. His time was cut far too short. Rest in peace, Scott.
