BYRNE
SCOTT G.
Age 44, of Jersey City, NJ, formerly of Hampton Twp., on Sunday, July 3, 2005. Scotty was a professional musician who became an absolute muscial fixture in the New Brunswick area. He and Dave Dreiwitz, bassist for Ween, formed the innovative New Brunswick duo instant Death. Scott also played drums for the blues band Barbecue Bob and the Spareribs and many different cover bands, mostly from the NY/NJ area. Friends and fellow musicians honored him with a vigil and day of remembrance at the Court Tavern in New Brunswick, scene of numerous instant Death Shows, on July 10. Scott was the beloved son of Paul F. Bryne of Sun CIty Center, FL & the late Mary Louse (Gainsford) Byrne; brother of Kathie DeVinney of Cranberry Twp & Paula Schreffler of Aurora, IL; nephew of J. Ronald Gainsford of Ross Twp; uncle of Brian DeVinney of Cranberry Twp. Lauren Shreffler of Aurora, Il & Jennifer Woodall of Portland, OR. "It will take a while to realize that Scott's laughter and shared times are now memories, much like recordings, that have captured this amazing person in his short time with us. It is my honor to have walked part of the way with him." No Visitations. Graveside Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 10 Duff Rd., Suite 304, Pgh., PA 15235. Arrangements   entrusted to the BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., Evans City.
