In memory of
Joe and Anne Canty
August 19, 2012
We were shocked to learn of Scott's passing today, 8/19/2012. We were thinking of people we'd lost touch with and Googled Scott's name to see if he still lived in Lakeville, where he might be working . . . and we found this notice. Scott and Joe Canty were roommates, and Scott was in our wedding in September 1986. We always laughed that he was late getting to our wedding and was the only groomsman without a boutinniere in the photos. We are so sorry for your loss and regret that we did not know so we could have paid our respects in person. We're so sorry we lost touch with you. Please accept our sincere condolences.

He always took a genuine interest in people, both professionally and personally, and had a wonderful balance of business seriousness and wit. I was so sorry to hear the news about Scott. As one of his customers, I've had the pleasure of talking business with him, and talking personally, too, about our families through the years. I can't imagine how hard this must be for you all. Please know you're in my thoughts and prayers.

I am truly saddened to hear of Scott's passing. I always enjoyed speaking with him. He had a knack of mixing business with sports talk, which made him very likable. He cared about the people he worked with and he was a mentor to me in the printing industry. Scott spoke often of his family and when he did, you could always hear the love & affection he had for them. Cherish the memories you have of your dad and with them he will always be with you.

Scott has been a friend for many years, and Melanie and I are deeply saddened at his passing. Just days ago, we received the Coulter's Christmas card, and we were marveling at how John and Paul had grown. The boys indeed are a great legacy for Scott, who will be greatly missed by all. Diane, John & Paul - our prayers are with you during this time of loss. May God bless you.

I was very sad to hear of Scott's passing. I consider myself so very fortunate to have worked with Scott at Courier for the past 4+ years. Having the opportunity to join Scott for visits to customers made me realize how special his talent was in not only listening, but hearing and guiding them and Courier. He was always working to make sure his customer's needs were met.
I want to offer my sincere condolences to Diane, Paul and John. When we had the opportunity to talk of our families, it was very obvious that Scott spoke of you with love and pride. May all the wonderful memories of your family and individual times with Scott/Dad help. I hope that taking the time to think of those happy and yes even funny memories will help ease the sorrow and allow you to smile. I know Scott would want that. My prayers are with each of you and Scott's entire family. May your faith in God help you though this difficult time.

I am thinking of you, Diane, and your boys, Paul and John. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Scott may be gone from this world, but his spirit is with you every day, everywhere. This is a sad and painful time for you. You will be asking and wondering why this has happened to Scott and to you. Know that there are no answers to those questions. Let your faith and love lead you. "During our time of grief we are called to a noble surrender to the only ONE who truly understands our situation. It takes and unheard-of trust in an unseen God." God will help you through. God Bless all of Scott's family and friends.

So very sorry to hear of Scott's passing, I know only time will heal the loss but know that he loved and spoke of his family often. He was so very proud of his boys. I know Scott from working as his customer service rep in Kendallville, he worked hard but always had time to ask how my family was doing. I will miss him teasing me about the Colts. My thoughts and prayers are with you all and may God help you thru this very difficult time. Karen Shultz, Courier Kendallville
