Scott Dowen

Scott, I didn't get to see you often, but I'm missing you every day, brotha.

There are no words to sum up a life, to express the grief and loss of a person such as Scott except to say, "He is a Marine." To Scotts parents, daughter and family...my heart goes out to each of you. The warmth you displayed for me and the Marines will always be clear in my memory. Scott had much to live for. As 1stSgt Taylor has said,"You are a memeber of the Marine family." Call on any of us at any time. We are pretty close by. Love you all.

Sir you will be missed but never forgotten. " Devil what did I say" was one of your favorite things to say to me, and i will never forget them. you were more than just my officer in charge your dedication to the Marines that work with you made you part of our families. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

CWO2 Dowen, you will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family in this time of grief. You have done so much for so many of us and we appreciate all you have done. Two things that i will never forget are the two things you always told us, enjoy yourselves and take care of eachother. Semper Fi.

For everyone who knew him well enough, "Grumpy" is what is most known as. As a leader to 9th Comm Supply, he taught us well and made a long lasting impression as a great leaders to all of our young followers. He will be greatly missed and this is the sadest news we have ever come across.

My thoughts and prayers go out to CWO Dowen's family. He was truly a great man and we will be deeply missed here at our shop. He was a great asset and will never be replaced.

i want to be able to say more about this you than what i know. but i can say this iwth such passion behind it; "Scott Dowen was a good n passionate man". My first week here i already had relationship issues with my fiance on our unborn child. You gave me the permission to go see her and stay as long as i needed to make sure my family was well. Ever since than i always and still believe you was a great n good man. thank you sir.

CWO-4 Dowen will be missed by all here at 9th Comm BN. He was a good Supply Officer and a good man. At the end of the day he always knew how to leave us wanting to come back the next day. My prayers are with his family.
