I’m shocked and saddened by this news. My heart aches and goes out to Scott’s family.
Scott was a dear and generous neighborhood friend that I grew up with, went to school with, and played every sport from little league baseball to basketball and of course golf. He was a great teammate and I have many fond memories with him, particularly HS golf. He always greeted me with a smile and genuine happiness to see me. A quality that lifted my spirits and that I’m sure he inherited from his folks, some of the happiest people I’ve ever known.
I was blessed to grow up near the Gray family and have Scott as my friend.
I was looking forward to retirement golf with you Scott. Now I hope someday I’ll meet you again on the 1st tee.
Rest easy my friend. ❤

I remember when we all rode the bus together. Scott was just a little guy. I hope you all can find some peace in this time of sadness.

My very first best friend. Too many memories to share, but they all take place during large family gatherings prepared by precious loving hands, on rowboats with fishing poles in hands, at the end of the dock with a bamboo pole in the water hoping to catch lunch, laughing at the silliness of childhood jokes and songs, with a squirt gun in hand, a golf club or tennis racket in hand, around the campfire by the lake, and so on. Going to Scott’s house put a smile on my face and I always knew we’d have fun because I’d be laughing with my buddy. I loved growing up with you. I miss those years but will treasure them always. May your new fairways be paved with gold and your new home be a restful and glorious place. I love you, my sweet cousin.
