I first met Scott when my best friend Molly had a layover in Chicago. She wanted me to meet this guy she really liked. I joined them at a karaoke bar and was so impressed when Scott got up and belted out tunes with a fantastic singing voice!
He became a terrific friend who also really helped me get over my fear of flying. He was so energetic and full of life, always positive. It was an honor to know him and I will always remember him with fondness as a great person and friend. Rest in peace Scooter

Well Scott it´s almost a year since you went to heaven and I just came across this. So I just wanted to say I think of you often, and how you would hop out of your chair to meet me or anyone who came walking down the hallway. I know your thought of by many and always will be. I just want you to know you left an impact on many people including myself. Keep on singing in that heavenly choir

I am going to miss you Scott...you were always kind to me when we flew together. I thought you were taking pity on the newbie flight attendant, but I came to know that you were just the sweetest kindest person to know. Your huge heart was there to share the love you exude. Rest peacefully and watch over us all in your special Scott way!

Goodbye (for now) to one of the best friends I ever had. Scottie, you epitomized the best of those described by the phrase "an officer and a gentleman." Naval officer, United Airlines captain, Trekkie, film fanatic, and adoring husband and father to Molly and Ruth (or "Teddy," as you called her), you were loyal, kind, loving, brilliant, tolerant, far-seeing and far-thinking ... and tons of fun. How you´re missed! But enjoy your well-deserved R&R on the other side - until we see you again.

Molly and Teddy,
Scott was a wonderful person and I am so grateful to have known him. I feel as if I know you Molly and Teddy too from chatting with Scott during the last 10 years or so of connecting on Facebook. His happiness was evident when he talked about you two and he was so overjoyed at being Teddy's Dad. I saw a post that he had made for family as an update to talk about Teddy when she was born and her very first year and I could just feel in the words he used that he was grateful to be her Dad.
I first met Scott in the 6th grade where we had the same teacher for that school year.
My husband Dave and I hoped each and every year that we could have made it out to our class of 1970 reunion parties but living so far away, it just wasn't possible. Having Scott run the the live feeds to the internet made it so nice to be able to attend virtually and a big thank you to you Molly for all the great pictures you took to share with our class.
Buddy, Dorothy, Tracey and I also want thank you and Scott for your generosity to our Panther Friends 1970 group.
Buddy and I started the group many years ago and have been blessed by having so many kind and loving classmates join us to share our love and kindness with each other. We are thrilled to have you as an Honorary Member Molly.
Scott will be missed so very much by all of us who knew him and we send our sincere wishes that God will comfort you and Teddy.
Sending Panther Friend comfort hugs and love,

What can I say when I´ve lost my only brother? We may have had our differences but Scott was a geek but fun loving! He drew people in & loved his family, friends & flying with his whole heart. His wife Molly & daughter Ruth (Teddy) were his world! He leaves an imprint on those he knew & will be remembered always!

Scott, thank you for being such a wonderful family friend and a friend that was family when I was growing up in Cali. I have nothing but fond Memories of living in California and spending time with Scott and Molly: playing in the backyard, running up and down the spiral staircase like it was the best this in the world, watching movies and footballs games, the wall of candy and bubble gum (every kids dream!), swimming in the hot tub. I still think of the trip to Disneyland, with the Jungle Cruise but also spinning in the Mad Hatter teacups so hard that I couldn´t lift my head from the rim and couldn´t walk straight!
Thank you for letting me be part of your life, for childhood memories, for choosing me and my sister for Flower Girls for your wedding to Molly, for amazing visits to your home years after we´d moved away, and for the Facebooks messages, photos, and birthday wishes through the years. You will be missed!
Love, Elise

Scott welcomed John, the twins and myself to California right when we arrived. He had a huge heart and we spent countless evenings tasting wine - you could ask him how many and he´d know- and talking football. He was a generous host and wonderful friend. I think my favorite memory was our family spending the day with him at Disneyland. He could still remember the script for the jungle cruise! Rest In Peace, my friend. I love you.
