I met Scott in 1980 when I auditioned for a band he was thinking about forming. I was a bass player and my close friend was a drummer. We were 19, Scott was 26. He was cool, soft spoken, friendly and we jammed for a while on Who songs. We played again a few weeks later but went on to different, his was the Del Lords. We used to cross paths from time to time. He was all about the music not the sideshow. Bless you Scott. John Coppola

I want to extend my condolences to Scott´s family and friends. I will keep you in my prayers. I did not know Scott personally, just from our interactions on Facebook over the years. He was always so nice to me and made me feel special, even though I was just a fan from Tennessee. He is a legend and we will never forget his music and lyrics. Thank you for everything, Scott. Hope you are having a blast in rock´n´roll heaven.
