Scott David Mattson

Scott David Mattson, 66 died unexpectedly on Monday, September 15, 2025. Scott was born on July 2, 1959 to Frank and Barbara Mattson in Duluth. He was a graduate of Proctor High School. As a young man, he traveled to many parts of the country to find his calling, which he did in the Mobility business along with his wife Sherry in which they helped hundreds of people enjoy a better quality of life. Scott loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, his many wins at the annual horseshoe tournament and just being with family and friends. He loved singing around the campfire to his favorite country songs. Most of all, Scott loved his wife, children, family, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Frank Mattson. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Mattson; mother Barbara Mattson; son Eric (Michelle) Mattson; daughter Elicia (Mike) VanValkenburg; sisters Susan (Rich) Maday and Sharon (Steve) White, grandchildren Leo and Annie VanValkenburg; step children Justin (Christine) Sharbono, Nicole Sharbono, step grandchildren Hudson Sharbono and Damien Esherick and many friends and family.
