I am shocked and saddened to hear of Scott's passing. When I think back to my Acadia days or Edmonton days Scott plays a big part in those memories. His smile, his laugh, his zest for life and his very firm beliefs in what was right and what was wrong. My thoughts are with the family.

Dear Yvonne. How very sad I am to read about Scott's early passing. Far, far too young. And such an accomplished life he has lived.
I am touched to read all of the condolences from his many friends from school. I do want to add my sympathies to you and your family. As you know, I knew Scott as a kid in one of my classes. And, I also remember very well that wonderful smile of his. It's heartening to read that he never lost that smile and enthusiasm.
I know that God will be with you and your family at this extremely sad time.

Our deepest sympathies to Scott's family. I got to know Scott as a troop mate from our RCMP training in Troop 1, in 1996. Such a good friend; an easy going and gentle person. Strong like a bull but equally sensitive to others feelings. The weight he could bench press was amazing. It deeply pains my heart to know that Scott had passed away at such a young age. May Allah bless you Scott, and give courage to your family to face this tragedy. You will always be remembered, my friend!!

My deepest condolences to the Mcchesney family! Moving to a new school as I did is never easy but Scott certainly made it easier. He was a blast to be around and the thing I remember about Scott is he had protected me the odd occasion from bullies. He was truly a genuine person with a big heart to go with his big smile! Thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family at this very difficult time

My condolences to Scott's family and friends. I will remember Scott from school, crossing paths again at Acadia University, playing soccer with him in the summers, and meeting him again in Dawson Creek, BC. What a fun guy to be around. One specific thing I remember from a long time ago, is in elementary school - there were outdoor games arranged for the school, running, jumping, etc. One of the competitions, believe it or not, was "the biggest smile". Everyone's took a turn making a smile, and they were then measured. I remember who had the biggest smile in the entire school -Scott. All the best to the McChesneys.

Yvon, family and loved ones; Thinking back to our High School days, Scott stood apart from the crowd. Not just for the contagiousness of his genuine and easy-going smile but for the appreciation and respect that he held for each individual he encountered regardless of circumstance. It is with little doubt that such a model citizen would find himself in the role of an RCMP officer. I am saddened by the news of his passing and at the same time, feel blessed that I had the opportunity to know such a wonderul person.

I met Scott on an occasion when he was home to visiti his family, I was at his mother's house on my way to New Glasgow to Referee a Rugby Match. I liked Scott from my first contact, he loved sport, he was physical, he was in Law Enforcement, he loved his family and his friends with a great passion. Scott was a man that you could count on, a man that was not afraid to speak his mind. They say that " the good die young", this surely applies to Scott who made a great impression in a short time, his early death leaving much undone.
