Scott Elliott Miles

So sorry to hear of Scott's passing. Best wishes for his extended family. I worked with Scott for years at Vanguard and I always appreciated his wit. Matter of fact and subtle. Scott and I shared some stories of France and wine. Hope he's enjoying a glass in a better place!

I remember Scott from the short time I worked with him in the same work section at Naval Reactors. I had just shown up as a new engineer shortly before he left, but he made an impression on me professionally as a very junior engineer. In a small world sort of way, he ended up working with one of my best friends from NROTC at Vanguard. :) May his memory be a blessing for all those who knew him. RIP.

Scott joined Naval Reactors a year before I did. I remember my first social occasion with work personnel was at his townhouse in Springfield, VA. I had not seen or heard from him after he left NR in the late 90's, but I do remember. RIP.

I remember when Scott was 4 and I worked with his mother, Linda. I was taking graduate courses and was working on a project. A colleague and I decided to make a video on development milestones for 4-year-olds. We asked Linda if we could use Scott as the "star" of our film. Of course, Scott surpassed all the milestones! He was such a cute little guy! I am so sorry to learn of his passing. I can see that he continued to surpass life´s challenges and continued to engage in all the opportunities that life presented him. My condolences to his family and close friends.
