Walter Scott Odom, formerly of Florala went to be with our Lord and Savior on November 25, 2021. Scott was born December 19, 1970 to Hazel Odom and Walter Miller. Scott was married to the love of his life Susan Odom. They shared 8 beautiful children and 16 grandchildren. Scott loved and adored his children and was so very proud of everyone of them. But his world revolved around his grandchildren (he thought they did no wrong). He wore the title of Paw Paw like a badge of honor. He relished every accomplishment they made, first tooth, first step, saying Paw Paw or even their first smile. He had the biggest heart and was generous with this love without limits. Scott loved all of this family, his nieces and nephews and specially his brothers. Scott will be missed by so many. Scott's biggest accomplishment in life was finding God during his sickness. He took his salvation and devotions to Christ very seriously. We take comfort in the fact that we will see him again one day. Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Odom, father, Walter Miller, granddaughter, Vivian Gafford, and many aunts, uncles, and loved ones.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Susan Odom, children, April Wolfe (Michael), Timothy Odom (Amber), Shannon Smith, Vanessa Smith (Jeremy), Michael Odom, Skyler Smith (Ladawn), Dakota Starkey (Dylan), Cierra Odom, Tamlyn Agan, Jeff Gafford, grandchildren, Brayden, Justin, Kaelyn, Camryn, Avah, Anna May, Jade, Sophia, Rowan, Mercy, Dion, Alaynah, Christian, Madison, McKenzie, Makayla, brothers, Mike Miller (Andrea), and Marcus Miller.
A celebration of life services for Walter Scott Odom will be 2PM Saturday December 4, 2021 at Evans Funeral Home with Eddie Gosset officiating.
