SCHARF, Scott Edward On Friday July 23, 2010 of Burlington City, NJ age 50 years. Born September 3, 1959 in Corydon, Indiana, he was an Emmy Award-winning location sound engineer for NFL Films in Mt. Laurel. A devoted father, Scott is survived by his son Ryan, 14, and daughter Madeline, 10, his beloved fiancée Dr. Diane Menago, with whom he resided, his mother and step-father Marie and Jerry Kusiak of Mays Landing, NJ, three brothers Gerald Scharf and his wife Cathy of Bethlehem, PA, Gary Scharf and his wife Janice of Picton, Ontario, Paul Scharf and his wife Mary of Turners-ville, NJ, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. His father Richard K. Scharf and brother Christopher Scharf preceded him in death. During a career spanning more than 25 years, Scott won 10 Emmy Awards engineering location sound for some of NFL Films most popular television shows and specials as well as National Football League game coverage. He provided location sound for 22 Super Bowl games. He grew up in Pine Hill, NJ and was a 1978 graduate of Overbrook Regional High School. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday 4pm to 7pm followed by funeral services 7pm at the: ORA L. WOOSTER F.H. 51 Park Blvd. Clementon, NJ 08021 Cremation private following services. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations to the Scott Scharf Children's Education Fund. We where friends for short while but enjoyed a lifetime of laughs. Scott was our first neighbor and quickly became a dear friend. It has been a while since we spoke but I know he willl be missed. Our thoughts and prayers to you all.
