Scott Harris Sterner, affectionately known as "buddy" passed away peacefully in his sleep.
He was born on July 07, 1985 in Aurora, Colorado to Rick and Stacey (Erickson) Sterner. He will be remembered for his bright smile, his outgoing personality and big heart.
Scott spent the majority of his life in Utah, but always had an attraction for the big city and loved New York. Scott attended Eastside Community High School in Manhattan, where his love for the city grew stronger. Later he received his GED in New Jersey. Scott graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor's in Behavioral Science and a minor in Criminal Justice at the age of 19. Scott was wise beyond his years; he was the epitome of intelligence. Scott was fascinated with educational documentaries and computer technology. Scott also had a great passion for Hip Hop music and freestyle rap. Scott was an admirable son, brother, uncle and friend; he strived to spread his love and generosity to everyone.
Survived by parents Rick and Stacey; his two sisters Sharla (Ben Hatton) and Mindy; nephews and niece; Tayden, Vans and Kamya and many loving members of his close knit family.
Farewell for now celebration will be held Thursday June 14, 2012 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 1007 West South Jordan Parkway,(10600 So) South Jordan Utah. You may share loving memories with Scott's family from 4 - 6:30 p.m. followed by services at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Scott would have encouraged donations to be made to Mentalhealthamerica.net.
