Having just learned of the passing of Tracy Bailey: May you both meet in heaven and get the quartet ready for the rest of us to come...it is with a greatly saddened heart and tearful eyes that I recount the myriad of ways you both blessed my life. I still have the recording we made in Scott's garage, us (along with Bruce Collins) staying up until 3 AM singing barbershop until we were hoarse and delirious from lack of sleep. Sweet memories. Peace to you both, until we meet again.

Scott

Lost touch with you . . just got the news . . and was reminded how we together would "Chase the Clouds Away" back in marching band.

Bless you and prayers to your family.

When I think of Scott, I smile.
After all, who enjoyed the stage more than Scott? Those cassic moments in barbershop..Super Heroes, Nudists, Lion Sleeps (jumps) Tonight, monsters, etc.. Imaginative moments offered to an appreciative audience by Scott and the members of Ivy League. Thank you for a great performance.

Scott

My fondest memories of you were with your very first quartet back in the 70's in Pontiac Chorus. You and your gang were still in high school!

Much love, Linda Liddicoatt~

My heart aches for Scott's family and friends. Scott will always be part of some of my favorite high school memories, from Madrigals, to musicals to even walking together at the CHS graduation. I know that he left his mark on the hearts and souls of so many. Be at peace, my friend. My prayers go out to your family and friends who celebrate your shared memory, while mourning this sad loss.

Mr. Turnbull, so sorry to hear of your passing. You were one of my favorite teachers at Bishop Foley. Though I did not become a music major in college, I continued to play at weddings, churches, and funerals for many years. Thank you for all your inspiration. You will be missed!

I was the bass singer in Scott's quartet, The Ivy League. Some of the happiest moments of my life was when I was with those guys. We sang together for the next 9 years. I grew to love all the guys in the quartet, but Scott and I seemed to have a special bond. We wound up as roomies his last year of college and I always roomed with him on quartet gigs. We usually wound up talking and laughing till all hours of the morning. In retrospect, I try to figure out why I was so close to Scott. I think it's because with Scott, you always got the real deal. He was never afraid to tell you what he really thought, good or bad. And he was the one guy in my life that I could be absolutely honest with, and never worried about being judged. I thank God for putting Scott in my path and I will miss him for the rest of my days.

I miss you already, Scott. Your time with us was way too short, but you made up for it by enjoying every minute of it and making sure we did too when we talked.

Scott, Ethan and I were very sad to hear of your passing. We want to say thanks for all the laughs. Ethan said he is wondering who to give those tootsie rolls to on Halloween. Rest in peace, no more pain or sorrow. Love, JoAnn and Ethan

So many of my fondest junior high and high school memories involve Scott and his family. Now, every time I eat a Big Mac and fries, bowl, hear a trumpet solo performed or hear a barbershop quartet sing, a part of my heart will ache for the loss of him at such a young age to such an awful disease. I know mine was just one of the many lives he touched, and I'm so grateful God orchestrated that connection. My prayers go out to Mr. Turnbull, Liz and her family, and to all those who knew the Scott Turnbull I did.

I sang with Scott in the Ivy League for several years and will miss him dearly. His creativity and love for music and entertaining we so contagious. I not only had the privilege to sing with him and learn from him, but to call him my friend as well. Rest in peace my friend. Jim Pollard

I will miss Scott greatly. While I never got to meet him in person, he was always a fun-loving guy that I greatly respected. There will never be a day that I won't think of him as I walk past the Red Garter Saloon at Cedar Point. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

My friendship with Scott did not go back as many years as many of you but I did learn what a great guy he really was. We met on Facebook in Friendstock and then went on to Yoville. He loved Yoville and taught me all I know. I did get to speak to him but wish I had really met him in person. I will meet him again some day. Scott, sing one for me.

Scott
I knew you before you were famous for your great singing and band performances. You were the best darn bowler at Howe's Lanes in Clarkston. You blessed me with many happy times at CHS. I know you're in heaven...save me a close spot next to you...I owe you a big hug. Many blessings to you and your family.

Dearest Scott, it was such a pleasure meeting you and knowing you for such a short time. I can only imagine what a dedicated and knowledgeable musician you were. Dinner that night at Spring Training was so fun. I want to duet with you in Heaven! Put in a good word for me, huh? Miss you and look forward to seeing you again someday.

Scott introduced me to Barbershop singing in college. It's his fault that it's been a part of my life for over 25 years. I know he has touched so many of us with his humor and his music. I am thankful to have been a friend to Scott and Scott being a mentor to me. Thank you my friend, thank you.

I was out of touch with Scott until recently reconnected through facebook. Through high school Scott and I had many great times, some of which were aided by his mother Marci signing us into and out of school. It really paid off having Mom working in the office. Scott introduced me to Barbershop and Jazz, and I will forever be thankful. I had the pleasure to sing as bass in quartets with Scott during his early years, and those memories will hold a special place in my heart until I am able to sing with him again in Heaven. Rest in peace good friend, you will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Scott and I sang together in my first quartet, The Ivy League after a brief stint singing together in the Eastern Michigan University Madrigal Ensemble. I'd always wanted to sing in a quartet and he was putting a group together to sing at Cedar Point Amusement Park. The 3 of them, including Bob Hartley and Dave Drouillard, have remained some of my closest friends ever since. He was a gifted musician/arranger/performer, a beloved teacher and a fun guy to be around. We'll all miss him greatly. God bless you, Scott.

Scott, You will truly be missed by thousands you have touched over the years, with your music, love of the Detroit Tigers, and teaching skills. All your friends at www.dtf1.net are heartbroken over your passing. I feel so bad that I was unable to make it to spring training to meet you in person. I pray the Lord's Love is now re-uniting you with you mother in heaven.

Scott, Where do I begin? Getting back in touch via facebook was truly a blessing. You shared one of the purest most genuine spirits I have ever been blessed with in my life. During the loss of my son, you helped me stand tall again, I hope he has met you now in heaven, you are both shining stars in my sky. He knows how much you touched my life. God Bless, your song will always be playing in my heart.

Thanks for the memories of high school (we married each other in a mock wedding, hehehe) and all the music concerts. Your humor and talents, I know, will be truly missed.
