Hey

Richard Westmacott

September 4, 2012

I've known Scott since Monday 7 September 1987, when we both started to learn to fly at C.A.T.A. Cessnock N.S.W. And nearly 25 years later I am shocked to hear of his passing. A great friend from a great time.
My condolences to all his family.

Kellie - our most immediate thoughts are always of you, now and for the coming months and years. We hope that the love Gracie and Hugh will give you each day will remind you of your beautiful husband and best friend, how much he loved you and the wonderful life he wants you to have. He lives on through them. A life gone to soon, but never forgotton. We love you.

Capt Scott Wickland was a true gentleman, in and out of the Flight Deck. I had the pleasure of flying with Scott on many occasions and knew that it was going to be a great trip when fostered with him.
Scott had the rare ability of being able to make his colleagues feel as though they truly were a valuable part of his team.
My last sim ride was with Scott. As I had been on Maternity leave for 18 months, I knew it would be 'interesting', to say the least. I was so relieved to see I was rostered with Scott. He made an otherwise stressful event, a learning experience in a relaxed (as relaxed as sim can be), and fun experience.
Scott was a Captain who was respected by both Captains and First Officers and will be missed by all.
My condolences to his beautiful family.
