Celebration of Life Service for Scotty A. Smith 66, are set for 3:00 pm. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Henry Cemetery.

Scotty died Monday , November 19, 2018 at his residence. He was born January 25, 1952 in Corinth, MS. to Roy B. "Bill" and Emma Lee Smith Newcomb. He was a member of First Baptist Church, a 1971 graduate of Corinth High School, served in the MS National Guard. He was a longtime building contractor in Corinth. He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, painting, outdoors and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy B. "Bill" Smith; brother, Stan Smith; step-father, James Newcomb; father-in-law, Paul Sanders.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Smith; daughters, Stacy Brooks (Keith), Shauna Davis, Kirby Carruth (Andrew); mother, Emma Lee Smith Newcomb: brother, William Robert Smith; sister, Patti Potts; extended family, Ricky Newcomb (Mary), Becky Shanklin (Dave); grandchildren Aubrey Davis, Madeline Brooks, Marleigh Brooks, Ford Carruth, Miles Carruth; mother-in-law Olivia Sanders; brother-in-law Maury Sanders (Margaret); host of other family and friends.

Family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 to service time.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Scotty's memory may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
