My Dearest Shay, I am heartbroken that you left us too soon. I will miss you terribly. I respect and adore that even during your tumultuous times you showed up to every family function. To those you always brought laughter, good stories, pointed opinions, compliments to others, and unconditional love. Our gatherings will be missing you so. I know it was hard for you, introvert that you are, to function in this wacky world with all these wacky rules. You kept proving to be the cool, warm-hearted, deep thinking human that you are. I respect and adore your creativity in art, writing, music, and thinking outside the box. Your modesty was evident. If only all your beautiful talents overpowered your addictions. I remember you as a youngster, so curious, so cute, climbing whatever you could find to climb, all the way to the tops. Your cousins and sister so filled with admiration and pride for you. You were so independent and hard to keep up with. Always the one to take the kayak, or whatever, way to the other side and explore. When the weather wasn't ideal you'd lead the pack in fort making and stair jumping and dog piles and a wee bit of mischief. I am a lucky human to have been able to have you in my life for even that little bit of time. You are in my heart forever. My dearest Shay, I am heartbroken that you left us too. Love you, Aunt Athena

I just heard of your passing this evening and it brings me great sorrow to hear. Seamus, you will always be a part of my heart and soul. You were a gentleman and very kind soul; beyond your years, a sweet and dear human. My heart and warm thoughts go out to all of your family and friends. You will never be forgotten and will forever loved by all. Especially by me. God bless you young man.

I've been thinking about you Seamus, and I am still having trouble accepting your loss. Was there something we could have done, I wonder to myself. My mind tells me no, but my gut doesn't agree. You're not forgotten, buddy.

Shay was my friend growing up. We played in a band called ARMYOF NUNS, when I was maybe 13-15 and he 15-16. He was the first real punk rocker I met-not in the way he was a destructive hoodlum (tho we may all sort have been then.) but in the way that you could see he was always seeing something different going on. He could skate board better than anyone i knew and had a fearlessness about him that im sure many envied. We reconnected briefly later in life, and seeing his art on the streets of oakland was always a good reminder of him. He was kind and had a smile that I can picture clearly. I hope that I am greeted by him in whatever follows, and the same smiles on his face then. Im so sorry for All of your loss, Shay was a good soul and Im happy to hear of his life Corte Madera. A beautiful young man, we had the pleasure of meeting. There is an epidemic in the US , killing our youth. This is what we need to fight.
So very sorry .

I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful son. Shay was a truly kind soul and his passing has my family and me heartbroken. I remember how proud he was of one of his first jobs at Monterey Market. May your memories of him comfort you now and always. His memory will always be in our heart.

Dear Phaedra, we are so sorry to hear this news and so appreciative that you wrote us. Shay was a graceful teen and courteous young man when you lived next door to us. Barbara and he became friends when she told him how much she loved his hair when he bleached it white. Be well. God bless you and Dmitri and Shay's Dad and Sappho. Larry and Barbara

We didn't know Shea but do know that the love of his mother and our longtime friends, his grandparents, speak of their support for
him and their incredible sorrow at his loss.
