Sean Gelinas

1987 - 2015 DALTON Mr. Sean William Gelinas, age 27, of 611 South St., died Thursday evening. He was born in Pittsfield, Dec. 2, 1987, the son of the late William D. "Geli" and Gail McNeil Gelinas. He was educated in the local schools and was a 2006 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School. Continuing his education, he enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at Johnson & Wales University in Providence Rhode Island. Subsequently, he became employed in food service at Patriot Place in Foxboro and after moving, he was employed at several of the Miami area top echelon restaurants. He attended St. Agnes Church and enjoyed several outdoor sports including Snowboarding. Always popular in school, he was a standout athlete for both Football Team and the Golf Team at Wahconah Regional High School. Cooking was not only his chosen profession but his passion as well. He enjoyed making dishes for his family and friends He is survived by his brother, Joseph D. Gelinas of Pittsfield; his "second set of parents," Al G. Gelinas and Amy R. Gelinas, who raised both he and his brother upon the death and illness of his parents; his uncle and aunt, James "Chico" Gelinas and his wife, Kate; his aunt, Tammy McNeil; and his cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE: The Celebration of his Life will begin Tuesday with calling hours at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME from 4 - 6. Funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home followed with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church with the Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Pittsfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Annual Garbage Trail Walk for Huntington's Disease in care of the funeral home.
