Though I knew Sean only when we were kids playing on Dan Dr., I am profoundly saddened to hear this news. The fact that he comes from such a strong family makes it that much harder because I know how much he is missed. It is my hope that the close bonds of the Meckler family can be a source of strength for everyone through the months and years ahead.

Dear Meckler Family,We were so saddened when we heard about Sean. Even though I didn't know Sean as well as some of the other Meckler kids, you could just tell how special he was! My husband and I would always stand with him in "the back" at St. B's. He was so sweet and kind. I too have lost a brother and nothing prepares you for the pain of losing a sibling. We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless! Love Dean and Kate(Smith)Abbondanza

To the whole Meckler family i was very suprised to hear of Sean's passing. Sean was someone who I grew up with in grade school and was one of those people who actually never leave you. It's been about 4 years since I had a chance to sit down and talk to Sean, But that day we met up all i could remember is how he talked about his little girl. Taking out pictures from his wallet with the biggest smile on his face. I know we will never understand why God takes the good ones so early but take comfort in knowing that he is in a better place looking down on all of you. And the fond memeories that we all will have of Sean will last a life time. May God BLess You

Meckler Family: I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Sean. He (along with all the Meckler family) was one of my favorite clients...Sean always had pictures of his "little girl" when he came in the pay insurance premiums - always had a smile on his face and was a real joy to know. My heart and prayers go out to all of you during this difficult time.

Dear Meckler Family,
I just learned of Sean's death and I wanted to express my condolences. I grew up just down the street from your family and knew many of you from Lincoln, Mellon and Mt.Lebanon High School. When I was ill a number of years ago, I would walk by your house frequently and you all were always so nice to me. I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear of the loss of a young man with so much potential. My thoughts and prayers will be with you, always.

Dear Meckler Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Sean's passing. It is a great loss for all who knew and loved him. It has been years since I have seen Sean, but I think of him always fondly and with happy memories. Sean was a wonderful spirit and will be greatly missed. I had the please of working with Sean and Megan, as well as being a Lebo alumni. I hope your memories of Sean will ease your suffering and help you move forward in keeping Sean's memory alive for Alyssa.

To The Meckler Family:
Take comfort in the fact that your son and brother Sean was a kind, loving and wonderful human being. We'll never know why God called him back so soon, but we must remember that we are not supposed to understand why these things happen, but rather rejoice in the wonderful life that Sean lived. God gave Sean the gift of life and Sean thanked God for that gift by being a wonderful son, brother and father. May God console you during this time and may you have the faith to know that we will all see him again.

Sean was part of our family for the past 10 years and we have many special memories of him. He was a super father to Alyssa and that was evident in the way her face lit up every time she saw him or he called.
Sean will live on in this little girl who we thank everyday for Sean giving to our family. Our deepest sympathy to you, the Meckler family. God just opened the gates of heaven to a special human being.

Dear Meckler Family:
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time. Your faith in God will give you strength in order to cope with the loss of Sean. He is with God now, and we will all see him again some day. I had the pleasure of meeting Sean while participating in Megan's wedding to my good friend, Ed McClory. I spent time with Sean on a few occasions, and always found him to be kind, courteous, and a loving father to Alyssa. He will be missed by all. Take Care...

Sean will always have a special place in my heart since he was the one who introduced me to the wonderful Meckler family. Sean had the biggest heart and the best laugh, and I've never known anyone who loved his family more, especially his beautiful daughter Alyssa. It truly is a blessing that he will live on through Alyssa and his brothers and sisters.

It was so wonderful to spend the Christmas season with our children and Sean, Vicky and your daughter Alyssa Zalewski on the Santa Cruise this year. Seeing you dance with Alyssa and share Santa with Vicky and Alyssa was a joy. To hear of your loss so soon is devastating. We will do our best to console Vicky and Alyssa in their loss, and will try to keep your memory alive with Alyssa when she plays with our children. Our sympathy to Vicky and Alyssa Zalewski and the Meckler family in the loss of their son and brother.
