Hi Dad,
I miss you. Is it you or Mommy who keeps sending me 237? I think it's you. Thanks for sending me Emma. Another girl? I got you this time, I gave her the middle name Teresa. She's a sweetheart, much like you. How is Mom? I have a lot of questions for her and you know I think of her all the time. The kids are all doing well. Andrew is playing college football, his personality is still amazing, he hasn't changed except he is like 6'4. Teagan is beautiful like Becky.
Sal played in the college World Series but I know you saw it. He pitched, imagine Dad, he was a Freshman and he pitched in it. Michael is his awesome self, I think he should be a Lawyer. They both have girls I think they will marry and we all really love. Sammy just had a baby girl and 3 boys all beautiful. Claudia is brilliant, beautiful and very independent she makes us all so proud. Laura is going to be a nurse and she is with Ben who is very sweet so all good there. And then we have Hannah and Ian. Dad, they are amazing, looks, personality and athletic. They are so loving and so much fun. Camden and Piper I don't know well but he is all Matt, funny and personable and she is going to be a basketball star plus, she's beautiful. Jules has our little princess Nessie and Thomas your other baseball player. Actually Sal told me Nessie is a good softball player so more athletes. Not surprised. I am sure Sal has you up to date. Please tell him I'm glad he is out of pain and we are all taking care of Judy although she is stronger than all of us. Again... you know all this better than me. I love you Dad. Please give Mommy a big hug and please take care of my sweet Jobianne.

Dad, I had no idea you had a guest book until today. Guess you must be getting a kick out of that one. I miss you so much, but i always know you are near me. I can see you smiling so clearly. Oh yes and thanks for the dog. She is full of energy and comical antics just like you probably ordered. She chewed my recliner but you know that don't you! If you sent a male dog I would have named him Sebastian, guess thats why its a female. Do you play baseball with Grandpa everyday or cards, are you both smoking cigars? I really wish I knew what you are doing, I really wish I could just talk to you and hug you again. I love you DAD!!!!!

Pop,
Tomorrow marks your first anniversary in heaven. We all miss you dearly.
We were at CYO a few weeks ago for one of Michaels basketball games and the boys took their friends into the Staten Island Sports Hall of Fame and showed them your plaque and memorabilia. They were so proud and happy!
We are reminded on a daily basis of all the lives you have touched here in the Staten Island community. People approach our family when we are at Sal and Michael's baseball and basketball games and tell us wonderful stories of times that they have shared with you as a player, coach,co-worker or friend. These stories help inspire me and remind me what a good man you were.
Happy Anniversary our Angel in the Outfield!!!
Love eternally,
Sal, Kelly, Sal & Michael

To my extended family,
You guys have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and I miss your Dad probably as much as you do. I can't tell you the significance of the impact that Sonny made on my life, but I know I'm a better person because of his influence. Not only was he a Coach and Mentor but more importantly a life long part of my family. My heart goes out to everyone of you.

My sincere condolences at this most difficult time to Teresa and the Grasso family. It is a very sad day when you hear that one of the good guys of Staten Island, passes.
I have many memories of Sonny and Teresa Grasso, they were one of my Mom and Dads best friends.
We all have many memories of Sonny Grasso and they are all good memories because they were all about what Sonny could do for you. He made everyone who came in contact with him, feel special. If you were a child, Sonny was your best friend. He taught us all the right things to do in life.
The memories that come to mind were those days spent at the CYO pool with my family, swimming and BBQing and having fun. The many times that my Dad and I drove "those busses" at the Sheffield Transit and the days that we saw Sonny with his signature cigars.
Sonny Grasso was the very best and we lost a good one, one of the good guys from Staten Island. A rare breed, he was. I'm sure everyone will miss him but I'm sure that everyone he came in contact with knows now that they have a guardian angel up above watching over us.
God bless you, Sonny Grasso.

My Pop-Pop,
You are one of the most amazing men I have ever known. You were an angel to so many people and touched the lives of so many children, young people and adults. Whenever I meet someone knew I am honored to be introduced as Sonny Grasso's grandaughter, because everyone only has kind words to say about you and wonderful memories to share. You have lived such an amazing life. You have shared your talents, knowledge, patience and love with so many people. To me you are a hero and a legend.
It is my hope and dream to live a life as full of love and joy that you and gram have provided for your family. I can only hope to be as good a parent as you and gram, and as good a partner to TJ. I will never forget all the beautiful memories of 372 Sheffield Street; family dinners, barbaques in the backyard with you at the grill, the ice cream and watermelon always flowed at your house! I will never forget all the times my mom would leave me with you at CSI while you were working, you always treated me to ice cream and played with me, never ignoring me, I loved going to work with you. Though you will be deeply missed here, I know you will always remain watching over us all. And although I am afraid of death, it is comforting to know that when it is my time, you will be there with open arms.
I love you so much,
Baby Jules Anne

Dad, Merry Christmas. It's one week ago today that you went to Heaven. I'll always remember all the great Christmas's we had together, all of us. You and Mom always made every Christmas special just as you always made each one of us feel special. I know you are watching over us all now, just as you did when you were here. Thanks for being my Dad, LOVE FOREVER,

Our sympathies extend to all family members and friends of the greatest coach, a coach ever had. Sonny was one of the most important people in my life and he taught me a lot about life and kids, through baseball. Teresa, thank you so much for sharing him with me, my family, and every other kid that has known him. I am lucky and honored to have been a part of his life.
