Funeral service for Selah Marie Mendieta, 15, of O’Donnell, Texas, will be held, Monday, December 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at O’Donnell High School Gym with Shane Russell officiating. Burial will follow to the O’Donnell Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Branon Funeral Home. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022 and Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Branon Funeral Home.
Selah was born August 1, 2007, in Lubbock, Texas to Max Mendieta III and Kisha Clement. She passed away December 14, 2022, in O’Donnell doing what she loved, hanging out with her friends.
Selah was raised in O’Donnell and was a sophomore at O’Donnell High School where she will be missed. Selah’s passion was showing stock show animals with the O’Donnell Livestock Association and being involved in FFA. She loved attending music concerts and fishing. Her beautiful loving and caring personality brought joy to her family and friends which will be missed.
Selah is survived by her parents, Max Mendieta III and Kisha Clement of O’Donnell; sister, Addison Mendieta of O’Donnell; grandparents, Tammy and Shannon Reese and Carmen and Max Mendieta all of O’Donnell; great grandparents, Nita and Gene Allison, Lisa Mendieta, Jose Calzada and Lynn and Sue Bolton; uncles, Kegun Clement, Reagen Mayfield, Rogelio Perales and Jovan Mendieta and wife, Nancy. Selah was preceded in death by her grandfather, Frank Allen Clement. The family suggests memorials to O’Donnell Livestock Association.
