What a "Little Cutie", our, Selene.
I miss our phone calls and the sarcastic spin on life that we shared in the past few years (mostly work-related). I'm so thankful that we were reacquainted--it's like time stood still, and, we were able to pick up where we left off. Sometimes, it felt like we were still 13...

Much love to Deborah and Liz and all of our friends who will miss the essence of Selene. She was one of a kind and will be missed greatly.
Happy trails, my dear friend. I wish you peace.

I met Selene through my daughter, Jessica, when they were roommates in NY.
Whenever I would visit there, if Selene was around, we would share a meal, take a walk or just catch up. She always struck me as a sweet, kind, generous spirit, with a quirky sense of humor, and contagious laugh. I'll always remember, with a smile, a time when we were having a conversation in the living room of her apartment. She just spontaneously got up, opened an umbrella, and started dancing around the room. The umbrella became her dance partner, and I wish I could remember the song she was dancing to. Anyway, she said "this is my Umbrella dance". It was full of joy and spirit --- like the deepest part of Selene. I can't believe she is gone, but I hope she is entertaining someone again, with her umbrella dance...
Deepest condolences to her family and many friends.

So very sad. My prayers are with the Anderson and Haugen families. Selene was the sweetest kid in the neighborhood with her ever-ready and infectious smile. She will be greatly missed.

I did not know her, but I do remember seeing her beautiful face in high school. She graduated before me and to this day, her face stands out. True beauty inside and out!

I am so very sad. Beautiful. Soulful. Loving. Selene was so much and meant everything to so many people. I am grieving for her loss, but more for my best friend Elizabeth. She lost her best friend, her comfort, her crazy & wacky sibling, her love ... Liz and family: praying for comfort... I love you! Kristin VP Holt

Selene will be missed. I was able to stay in contact with her over the years and am grateful for this. She came to visit me in high school in CA (even attended my prom) and in college in Santa Barbara. I surprised her and picked her up at LAX and took her to Lollapalooza, the car had been broken into and she got all of her luggage stolen. She never complained once, shrugged it off and hung at the beach all week, smiling ear to ear. My very first concert- U2 War Tour at the Northrup- Selene was there. I remember her shaving my head with her dog clippers in jr high and introducing me to chocolate chip pancakes. She and Carla sneaking me into the Anwatin dance while I was still at St Thomas. The memories and stories go on forever. I am profoundly sad she suffered in any way. You are in a better place. Say Hi to my momma up there, she always thought the world of you. Love. Greg

Selene was full of light and had a special style that drew people to her. I am sending so much love to her family- there are no words to properly express my sorrow, or my gratitude for having known her.

So sorry for your loss. Selene was a very special and beautiful person. She was always so nice. You are all in our prayers.

i will never forget Anwatin Junior High n the day I showed up at your house on Aldrich. Listening to the "go goes" & having ice cream sundays in your kitchen with my holy socks, I will never forget. that experience Selene was soooooo embarrassed that I'll never how nice you were to me & how much things changed over the next few years. Selene was my first love & even though it was superficial, it meant something to me. I will never forget her & what she meant to me as an adolesenct.

sincerely,
