What a great friend Chris was in life. He always answered a request for help. I loved the whole family, one of the great Families of Marrero!!!! I feel your loss.

To the Ullo Family, sorry to hear about the experience in family life with the transition of the HONORABLE Senator J Chris Ullo. Senator Ullo we thank GOD for your ministry of service in Marrero, Jefferson Parish and surrounding parishes, State of LA and surrounding states as well as the national level. We are extremely grateful for the kindness and hospitality that was exhibited to the Lemon Family as a whole. My Grandmother Eliza Howard Lemon loved you unconditionally. Ullo Family please continue to kneel in prayer (in JESUS' name) so that you can forever STAND! Sorry we couldn't be with you during Senator Ullo's home going celebration, but we did lift you in prayer. Senator Ullo thanks for caring, sharing and being there for ALL of US! I will never forget your dad Frankie. I STILL have my 4 way plug and extension cord I STILL use today that I bought at Ullos Hardware when I was in my teens, I'm 60 now! Your dad has kept my music alive with the 4 way extension he sold me so many years ago. You dad will never be forgotten. My condolences go out to your family at this time. We all know the loss. He was a great man! And yes my dad O'Neil and my mom Rita are welcoming him home!

Chris was great person and friend. I will always remember him and keep him and his family in my prayers. The man was self made and came from meager means, through hard work and dedication. There are lessons to be learned from his life. We should have more Political people like him!!!!!!! See the smile-----

He has been an inspiration to me and my family as well as the love and kindness bestowed to us from Mrs Joyce and all of his family. He will be greatly missed and forever in our prayers. Please accept our condolences, love and friendship in your time of grief.

When i worked for ullos hardware he would walk threw the door all happy n say hi girls walk up in his little office and do his business and walk back down and tell us a story i miss them days when he would tell old stories to us he was a good man very well known by the stansbury family

I was shocked to hear the news about Chris. I just thought of him being there all the time. When I got the news my memory went back years to one of the best times I had with my cousins. Back in the mid 40's (WWII era) I remember when Chris, cousins John & Bay Nicosia (all deceased) and some of their friends would come over to my home and my mother, their Aunt Lily (Lily Ullo Theriot) would roll back the carpet in the living room, put on the old console Philco radio for music, and proceed to teach them to dance. They would come over twice a week and lots of good times were had. Another cousin, Wilton Autin (also deceased) who lived next door would come over and together as being the younger cousins we would sit on the sofa and enjoy these enjoyable moments. This childhood memory is at the top of my list. When they finally thought they had mastered dancing and could conquer their fears, the visits stopped and this was a sad time. We all remained so close for the rest of our lives and this memory would always come up in our conversation when we were together.

He will be missed by all. RIP dear cousin, you earned it!

What a loss. We thought so much of Chris and you Joyce. We all go back a long long way As a builder of homes for many years on the West Bank it was always good to know those in the government of the west bank were interested in making it a good place to live. He will be missed. Our condolences to all.

I grew up on the Westbank in the 50's & 60's and can still remember how nice, kind and respectful Mr. Ullo was. I followed his political career through conversations with my parents and hope that his family takes comfort in knowing the tremendous impact he's had on so many people during his lifetime.
