Seymour “Boboy” Miller Pilialoha Albinio

Seymour "Boboy" Miller Pilialoha Albinio, 72, passed away on March 11, 2024, in Waianae, Hawaii. He was born on September 9, 1952. Boboy, as he was affectionately known, was a beloved figure in the sports community.

Seymour lived for sports, starting from his early years in Hakipu'u Kaneohe to playing for Waianae High School's first OIA/ILH championship teams, class of 1971. He pursued his passion for sports by attending Cal State Fullerton & Santa Ana College, where he earned a degree in Physical Education. Boboy returned to Hawaii to coach various sports teams, leaving a lasting impact on his alma mater, Pop Warner, Big Boys, and Semi-Pro football teams.

He will be remembered for his fantastic memory, remarkable personality, and his joking, yet endearing, irritating nature that never failed to bring laughter and tears.

Boboy is survived by his life partner and best friend of 30 years, Bev Kekiwi, his son Jeff Albinio, daughters Kelly (Franny) Perlangeti, Julie (Bobby) Ko, and ShyAnn Kekiwi, 6 grandchildren & 2 GGKIDS, as well as his sisters Kathleen (Sam) Kuni, MarGene (Alex-deceased) Alefonsio, Doreen (Paul) Gano, and Ellen (Ikaika) Akiona-Hafoka. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews in Hawaii, California, Nevada, and Colorado. Boboy was preceded in death by his father Eugene "Boy" Albinio and mother Margaret Kanamu Kaaumoana, and sister Hilma Kanani Albinio.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date to honor and remember the remarkable life of Seymour Miller Pilialoha Albinio.
