In memory of
Salman
April 23, 2025
Hello Hasnain and Family,
Please accept my condolences on the sad demise of Uncle. Although it was more than 40 years ago I still remember the smile of your father when he used to come and pick you and your brother up from school. A devoted father for sure.
It´s interesting it´s the smallest things one remembers but they define one as a human being.
May you find peace in his loving memory.
Regards,
Salman Syed.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Shabbir uncle, as I used to call him. I knew him growing up in Mohsin Manzil, Karachi-he was not just Ghazanfer´s dad, but a truly kind, gentle, and soft-spoken person who left a lasting impression on everyone.
I have such fond memories of him, especially the time he helped me learn to ride my dad´s Vespa. He gave me some great tips and a lot of encouragement-something I´ve never forgotten. He also had a brilliant sense of humour-his one-liners were legendary and always made us laugh.
Though I didn´t get to see him again after the family moved to America, he remains warmly remembered.
May he rest in peace. Heartfelt condolences to the whole family-from the Zariwala family.

Shabbir was a great man! We met him back in 2015 and he has been so kind to my family. He would come by to say hello and drop off girl scout cookies for my kids. He will be missed.

Shabbir Bhai was generous, kind, and loving, just as his name suggests. I have many cherished memories with him, especially from my childhood in Karachi, Pakistan. He lived a fulfilling life as a devoted father, husband, and brother. I wish for his soul to have a peaceful transition.

I had the privilege of knowing Shabbir Sahib since the year 2000 when he and Zulekha auntie moved next door to us in Austin. From the very beginning, his presence was impossible to miss - always wearing that pure friend´s look, always welcoming, always genuine. He had a natural charm, the kind that didn´t need effort - just honesty and a happy-go-lucky attitude that could brighten even the dullest day.
What stood out most about him was his independence. He lived life on his own terms. He was open, expressive, and never one to shy away from sharing what he believed. I still remember how Hasnain used to share how uncle would mock PTV news / announcements to express the real news. You always knew where he stood, and in a world full of masks, that was a rare and admirable quality.
He will be deeply missed, but always remembered
