I was shocked to learn of the passing of Shaina just now via a random email notification from a local online news source. I saw the picture, read the name and thought that I briefly worked with a really caring young girl of the same name and about the same age - but surely it cannot possibly be the same Shaina. Alas, it was. She was a truly sweet and innocent soul that made quite an impression on anyone lucky enough to take the time to get to know her. I am so very sorry for your loss.

It's been many years since we sat watching our girls bop around in Girl Scouts like little chicks. Besides being a Girl Scout Leader, I developed a love in my heart for all the girls in our troop as well as your Shaina. She was always filled with such enthusiasm and energy. I remember when she had play dates with my Briana. They were in the playhouse making believe they were princesses. I watched her jump from the loft about a thousand times with such energy, smiling from ear to ear. Last year I saw her at the salon she worked for, as I walked in she ran over to me with with that same little girl smile amongst the beautiful young woman she had become, and gave me a big hug! Know in your sorrow we will all unite with Shaina in the Heavens, and until then God's holding her in the palm of His hands...
