Shana was one of my dearest friends that I've known since high school and every second I spent with her was filled with laughs and joy. She always tried to be helpful to her friends and family and genuinely cared about the welfare of others. Although we couldn't hang out as much as we did before due to school, every time we met she would light up and meet me with a big smile and open arms. She was able to find fun and joy in any situation no matter how mundane, which made for some hilarious memories.

Shana burned ever so brightly and was loved by so many.

I will never forget the dumb things we did, the laughs, the smiles, the tears, and the moments. I can tell from what her loved ones say and from what I uncover every day that she was just an amazing person. She definitely would not want us to sulk over this for too long. Instead, Shana would want us to continue to find our happiness. We should continue to make her proud in what we do, and to always cherish the beautiful memories she gifted us.

Hi everyone, my name is Molly and I met Shana when we were in junior high. I will always remember her as the girl that was super upbeat, funny, generous and most importantly- loving. We were never the type of friends to openly tell each other how much we love each other and I wish we were. I have known Shana for so many years although there would be times were would wouldn't see each other for months due to us being at different schools and just from having different lives in general. My favorite part whenever I got see her again was just seeing how her joyful attitude rubbed off of her and onto me. Never was there a dull moment with her. She would be cracking jokes with every opportunity that she had. I've had so many memories with Shana, but my favorite has to be of her interactions with Crystal (her dog). She made an instagram account for her dog too which is just something Shana would totally do. I also remember how loving Shana was to her parents. I always found the way Shana was with her parents to be so cute and loving. I don't know why it was so funny that her dad's contact on her phone was under his name "Carl". Usually we would put "dad" or something but that's just the comedian in her. I have spent so much time with Shana over this past winter break. She actually helped me get a job at the place she was currently working so we spent many shifts together and hung out after we got off as well. I felt as though our friendship grew a little closer those last months as well; we had many deep talks and fun hangouts. It is unfortunate that she has passed at such a young age, but I do believe she lived such a full life and experienced so many things. She was always so filled with advice and bold opinions which is something I definitely miss hearing. I feel like the last thing Shana would want is for us to be sad, so let us cherish our memories that we've had with her and remember her for the joy she brought into our lives.

I don't really know how to put what I'm feeling into words, and I haven't been able to in the two days since I found out. You two please take care of each other up there.

Hi everyone, I m Adam and I m Shana's cousin. On behalf of Shana's parents and the family I want to thank everyone for coming and attending Shana's funeral. I think everyone is deeply saddened by her untimely passing. We can see how much everyone loves her and a sense of deep loss and sadness is reflected on everyone's face and those speeches. I want to say, life has its brutal side and sometimes it's very difficult to understand why it happened to our loved one who didn't seem to deserve this, but on the other hand we know Shana is in a better place now, there is no more tear and no more sadness, she is in the loving care of our Lord and heavenly home. Just not long ago I watched the movie COCO, now truly understand from this movie, there is no such thing as death unless we forget people, what we have once enjoyed and deeply loved can never be lost, for all that we love deeply become a part of us. Thanks again for everyone's coming and let's cherish the memories of Shana's life story, her warmth and care for others, her beautiful and courageous mind, her laughs, energy and sweet personality. Have a good ride, Shana! You will live forever in our hearts!

Shana Yifei Wang () (December 3, 1997 - January 26, 2018) was born in Chino Valley Medical Center, California on December 3, 1997 and grew up in southern California. Her parents came to the US in the late 80's and settled down in southern California after the family had moved from Midwest in 1992.

Shana attended Shelyn Elementary School in Rowland Heights at age of 5 and continued to study at Butterfield Ranch Elementary School after the family moved from Rowland Heights to Chino Hills in 2008. She graduated from Townsend Junior High School and Chino Hills High School with honors and went on to study in Cal Poly Pomona with major in English and English teaching. Shana was a junior year student at Cal Poly Pomona at the time of her passing.

Shana was known to her friends and classmates to be most kind and generous. She devoted her time and efforts to help the needy people and showed her selfless support for the weak. As a cheerleader she was best at motivating people of such kind and kept everyone in high spirit. With her contagious laughs and outgoing personality she brightened up everyone's heart with happiness and exuberance. As her pocket note rightly reveals her true state of mind that she wants "everyone to be happy" .

Shana was also a committed and hard working individual at school and off campus. She had dreamed of becoming a teacher for young kids and planned to earn her teaching credentials in coming years. While she was studying at Cal Poly Pomona Shana also worked part time as a principle aide and teaching assistant at JJ Tutoring facility for young children. She not only taught children but also took charge of scheduling classes and hiring teaching aides for the principle. All the teaching staff and children that had worked with her or took her classes were heartbroken at the tragedy of her untimely passing...

Shana was an endearing and caring daughter of her parents. Always been under the wings of parental love she is the most previous jewel in the house. Although being busy with school and work she had never forgot her responsibility to care for and support her parents. Her Dad remembers vividly that each year during Christmas Shana had bought him just what he had always wanted! She would also bring her Mom the most unique and thoughtful present on her birthdays and holidays, and reminded her Dad to buy Mom the right gifts for each occasion. She was a super planner and always on the lookout for the upcoming like a grownup! On her pocket note she also wrote to remind herself that she needed to walk Crystal , her dog, whenever she could. Now she is badly missed by Crystal, who by this day still often waits by the door to garage, hoping Shana to bump into her...

Shana planned to be home for family dinner on the night of January 26, 2018 when tragedy happened that abruptly ended her young life. She never came back for dinner that night. Shana is in heaven now, a better place than on earth.
