Shanna O'Brien Obituary
Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of Michael T. and Denise E. (Marsocci) O'Brien.
Shanna had been the manager of the family owned Carrie's Restaurant.
She leaves a brother, Michael H. O'Brien; a niece, Ava E. O'Brien; maternal grandparents, Norman and Barbara Marsocci; paternal grandmother, Mildred Mehrman; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 5-8 p.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence, followed by burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the RISPCA, 186 Amaral Street, Riverside, RI 02915. Visit our online guest book at www.pontarellimarinofunerals.com.

Shanna was like a daughter to me. It was never a dull moment when she was around, her smile, her laugh, her great personality. She always saw the best in people. We worked together, played together, had family time together. I will miss Shanna so much and she will always hold a special place in my heart.

I. Had the privilege of watching shanna grow up from the little girl who made me play school with her to the women who loved to rub in every time the yanks beat the sox, u will b missed.

She was such a a pleasant and intelligent young lady who left an impression on me. I often thought of her after she left BV to continue her high school studies at LaSalle. As we lay Shanna to rest, it reminds us of her time spent on earth. In the short 32 years she was alive, she blessed so many peoples lives in ways we all will never forget and each of us with a different story to tell.
A perfect example being the 4,000 person attendance at her wake Wednesday night and her police escorted, 200 car precession line, highways shut down, funeral Thursday afternoon. My prayers are with you and the rest of her family and friends during this time.
Shanna, you were here one moment and gone the next, you are gone but never forgotten. May you always remain in our hearts and minds!

I am so sorry for your loss. Shanna was an amazing, caring woman. I always loved talking to her at the restaurant, and in the past couple of years on the phone and through Facebook. I always hung up the phone after talking her feeling better than before. I've never known a bigger Yankees fan and it was always fun to go back and forth trash talking during the Sox-Yankees games! She will be missed dearly.

Mike, Denise and Mikey...Shanna left a lasting impression on so many..you already know how we adored her. Arthur loved talking with her about their mutual love of the Yankees, and I wish you could have seen how she would make him laugh with her passion and strong opinions. There was never time spent with Shanna that there was not laughter and happiness. Jeff is taking this very hard, he and Shanna shared a special bond from way back. When she and I spoke she always revealed so much pride and love for all of you, never forget that.

I was always in Carrie's sitting at the bar, talking with Shana either eating a 3 lb'er or paying my rent.
