Thinking of you... love you always.

I only learned recently that Shanty had left this world. Devastating news. She was my daughter's dance teacher. I remember the first time I met Shanty at the Dovercourt Recreation Centre. Her smile and beauty lit up the room. My heartfelt condolences to Margo,to her husband and to her father. A great and unimaginable loss. Sincerely, Karen Ireland, mother of Arden.

Whenever I hear fireworks, I think of you. These now have a double meaning for me, one that reminds me of the late nights we shared hearing kids setting them off in our neighbourhood, and two because I believe you are now lighting up the sky with a brilliant show for all to see. I miss you.

I miss you so much my sister from another mother. Not one day goes by when I don't think of you. I start my day off looking at your picture/memorial bookmark tucked into my mirror. I tattooed you dancing on my left shoulder. When ever I dance, you are to my Rockstar Ballerina! I will love you forever.

Mavourneen... Forever and a Day my LOVE
Maria & Paul Ryan
May 6, 2013
Years ago fate allowed us to meet in The Emerald isle. From the Liffey in Dublin to Sligo, from Connemara to Donegal bay and the wild cliffs of Mohr.... We laughed, danced, explored, watched the sun set over Galway Bay. We shared stories and enjoyed Irish coffees!
Shanty these memories recall you back to me. You will always remain my "little bit of Ireland"
Margo although we are miles and oceans apart like the true Irish our friendship has grown strong....

Never below you
Always, always beside you"

I've no doubt that she is now among our other family members residing on the other side waiting for when we make that journey. With love and deep respect. Your cousin.

Seeing the overwhelming number of people at the celebration of your life yesterday showed me that you were as special an adult as you were as a child when I knew you. I will always remember you Shanty, and all the wonderful times we had together when I was your babysitter, and you were my protector from your cat who constantly attacked me! We certainly did our fair share of gossiping and giggling! Your laughter will live on in my memory. RIP Shanty.

Margo and families - our sincere condolences to Shanty's family, as a cousin we often did not come together in life as often as one would like. Reading through the Guest Book we can see what a loving soul Shanty was in life, you must be so proud. The love and glowing warmth radiates from the messages of kindness and concern for her friends and family is a reflection of sincere and genuine love from those she touched while here on earth. Do take care my loving cousin Margo; take the love from us who care into the future ... hopefully this love and the knowledge gained from your caring support in her time of need will give you the strength throughout the grieving struggles. God be with you all.

Sometimes, in life, we are mystified by a simple thing - like a ray of sunshine or a drop of dew. I know, in my heart, that these simple things are repositories of memories of loved ones - always to be cherished. I will miss you my Dovercourt princess, love always and forever, Michael

My beautiful gentle 'Mavorneen' Shanty,
I have watched the sun rise this morning and it is so cold outside. I know you hate the cold and I promise to bring your blankets we traveled to the hospital with Love. You will really like what Daniel and I worked on for you all week... but we know you were peeking and giving us eye rolls... :) The candles are lit by the bed love so you will never have to be afraid because I will leave a light on so you can find your way home always Hunny.
I love you, I miss you... DANCE free LOVE!

I was so saddened to hear of Shanty's passing. Although with distance and the passing of time we had not been in close contact, I have very fond memories of our teenage friendship and night's spent with Shanty and friends at Margo's house on Richmond Road. She was such a warm and kind soul, who left her mark on all whose lives she touched.
My deepest sympathies and condolences to Margo, Darren and the rest of her extended family.
