I remember Mrs Lemeris fondly from my junior high (8th grade) English class. She was always kind and warm, while simultaneously not tolerating anyone's nonsense! My condolences to the family.

When I was much, much younger, I learned my Aunt Shari was going to college to become an English teacher. Hoping to impress her, I told her I was a big fan of Edgar Allen Poe, as most 12 year old boys are,
Ever the English teacher, she suggested I peruse the works of H.P. Lovecraft. She even bought me the paperback "The Throne of Bones, and Other Stories" after a few sleepless nights(!) , I was hooked.
She opened the door for my appreciation of Sci-fi / fantasy and historical documentary, among other genres. The Lemeris, Pennock and Sandoe families will feel the loss for a long, long time

Shari was “Ma” to me during our time working together at AEMS. I so enjoyed my time in her ELA classes relearning English, discussing interesting topics, and laughing which we did a lot of.

She was one of the good ones who truly loved her job and was always willing to help a student be successful in classes.

My thoughts and prayers go out to John and her family. Every time I saw her, we would share photos of our grandkids, and did she cherished them and her entire family. She will definitely be missed by many who knew and loved her.

“Until we meet again” my dear friend❤

My heart goes out to the Lemeris Family. Shari has taught both of my kids. I am in awe. I will keep the family in my prayers. I know she is in Heaven giving God an English lesson and more than likely homework. May it be comforting to know she is in heaven. Amen

Mrs. Lemeris was that one special teacher for me. A teacher who felt more like a second mother or aunt.
Mrs. Lemeris was a very kind and compassionate soul, and because of this alone you never wanted to disappoint her.
As an adult I had the opportunity to work at AEMS, with the pleasure to work alongside someone whom I'd admired and respected greatly.

My deepest condolences to her family, she was a true treasure.

(I will always think you Mrs. Lemeris when I wear my Birks)

Gosh, I’m just in shock and am a well of emotions. Shari was truly one of the good ones. We were so lucky to have had her teach both of our girls. She was such a role model to all of us. She was an outstanding coworker and we shared many laughs together years ago. I would see her, as mentioned, walking in Boscawen and would either honk for a wave or actually pull over for a bit of conversation. I saw Shari by chance at a paint class and it was so fun to reconnect. We swore we’d stay in touch. Life got in the way and now it’s too late. I will miss her. The world just got a bit dimmer with this loss. My sympathy to the Lemeris family. She loved you all.

Shari was a sweetheart, a beautiful person. Known for her home cooking, sharing the goodies at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have two of her recipes for chili and baked beans. I will always remember the family get togethers on the holidays. Bless you Shari, we all miss you greatly.

Mrs Lemeris was my favorite teacher when I was attending AEMS. She inspired me to enjoy reading Shakespeare and Jane Austin.. amongst many other writers. She always had such a warm smile to greet us in the classroom and a motherly nurturing kind way about her that never ceased.. for years after I graduated, and on into my adulthood when I would run into her. I am truly saddened by this news... and I am so sorry for your loss. She was a favorite of many other students I know, a really gifted teacher who clearly loved her profession. My most sincere condolences to you all

Shari I will miss waving to you while you were on your walks. We had a great time in that Women’s Literature class at the Tech. I know you could have taught that class better than the instructor. I got a good grade because I hung out with you in class and I think she was a little afraid of your questions. I have not seen you to talk for a while but no matter. . . I will miss you and your smile.
