I knew Sharon from Bala. She was always very kind, encouraging and supportive. She came to see one of my art shows in Bracebridge and was always interested in what I was creating. I did not know that she herself was an artist. I wish I had known as I would have liked to see her work. I remember walking along the road and seeing her doing something in the ditch. She climbed out holding a bouquet of daisies. It was a steep incline and she stood there beaming with delight holding the white flowers with yellow centres. That, to me was typical Sharon. She was willing to climb down a steep incline to make friends with some daisies. I am sad to hear of her passing and extend my condolences to the family. Sharon was a sweet, strong presence on this earth.

Sharon will always hold a place in our hearts of magical inspiration. Swimming up in Shinningtree, drumming, telling so many stories, hearing her laughter....and boy what a smile!

My memories of Sharon date from 1947-48 when she lived on Sheldrake Ave, Toronto. All the local lads adored her, rest in peace.
