Elsie Morine Copeland Philpot was called home to be with her Lord on April 10, 2016 at the age of 94.
Elsie Philpot was born November 26, 1921 and graduated from Deer Park High School in 1940. She was the last surviving classmate of the inaugural class. Elsie loved hosting family gatherings, cooking huge meals. She was an incredible cook. There was always plenty of food and everyone was welcome.
She was proceeded in death by her parents: Annie and John Copeland; sisters: Minnie Kubala and Alma Lorine Fincher; brother: J.W. Copeland, Jr; son: Walter Philpot, Jr. and sons-in-law: John Fredricks and Jim Ladd.
